Project Broken Consorts in Mediterranean

The band Broken Consorts was born from the passion that unites four musicians to research, and re-disclosure of the vast repertoire of popular music that unites the cultures of peoples from the Mediterranean to Northern Europe.
The program highlights the evocative, multifaceted and meditative folk music in a musical journey full of suggestions in populations where it is more deeply rooted tradition of music. The curiosity about the differences and shared cultural music ranges from the Mediterranean basin , Sicilian, Catalan and Andalusian atmospheres of the Galician Celtic musia Spanish until you get to the extraordinary atmosphere of Irish music.
“A cultural embrace that takes shape through the music. A journey of sensations that unravels along an ideal line between the Mediterranean world and the Celtic world. A dream of transparency and rhythm, a looping sound where merge heaven and earth in the sight of a spiritual and aesthetic widespread application. The sense of listening and thinking you reconnect with the soul of an ancestral territory of the overbearing memory that kicks in an area that extended, facilitating a gradual and vision together. The encounter between different cultures is a thing of the daily reality of children and of society as a whole.
The world of adults, however, not always able to convey the values of solidarity, tolerance and acceptance of diversity, it is necessary and urgent task of the school to highlight what helps us to know and understand different cultures, drawing a comparison from personal and social enrichment, both human and cultural.”
The music, as a primordial and total experience, the language is more direct and therefore more suitable to get in touch with ourselves and with others, is an extraordinary means of knowledge among different cultures, as well as sharing of feelings and emotions.
